Notable Projects: Metro Orange Line (Metropolitan Transportation Agency): Thirteen-mile bus route from North Hollywood to Reseda. Over 850,000 plants were used of which 40% were Southern California native plants. I served as Project Urban Forester and primary plant designer. Huntington Beach Shipley Nature Center: Developed the Master Landscape Plan and currently coordinating the restoration of the 18-acre site. The park features several indigenous habitats, demonstration gardens, interpretive center, compost facilities, native plant nursery and has educational programming for K-12. Bolsa Chica "Mesa": For the past 11-years, as a Bolsa Chica "Steward", I have been working with Bolsa Chica Land Trust to save the lower mesa for the State of California. Currently working on the restoration, management and Master Landscape Plan for the 120-acre site. Metropolitan Water District's "California Friendly" Landscape Program: Working with MWD to provide conceptual landscape designs and demonstrations gardens that promote their program's primary objectives (water saving, non-invasive vegetation, sustainability, and environmentally friendly). The Great Park Environmental Coalition: Currently serving on the Coalition's habitat and plant sub-committee, advising stakeholders on "sustainable" landscape design concepts, maintenance issues, "stewardship", and the use of native plants.
